A few sessions in on the new custom, so here's my take thus far: Prior to this I was on the 09' 133 Custom, this year due to increased sizing options, I'm on the 136. Side by side the 2010 Custom seems to have very similar channel profile to last years, different tip outline, more rocker and is slightly wider through the middle.
This is the biggest board I've ever owned and was skeptical about the weight increase and overall bulk. No need to worry as it 'feels' lighter and tighter than the 09'. Feels easier to throw into a rotation, perhaps due to the more refined shape and increased stiffness... Pop is crazy. This board is tight.
The wide stance options make powered landings easier, and the increased rocker soaks up the chop.
Currently riding the board without fins and have no trouble holding rail. Upwind ability does not seem to suffer at all, even during a very underpowered session this board would hold ground with all the finned boards, no worries.  The bonus is no fins means you can land off-axis and surface pass easier and butter slide! Not to mention hitting obstacles if you've got them. I doubt I'd ever feel the need to run it with fins.
The binding inserts take my Slingshot D2 boots with the transition plate, and would fit all other boots with a 6inch spread directly.
This is easily the best  board i've ever ridden and can't think of a bad thing to say. Sorry, I really was hoping to be critical. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the 2010 Custom to anyone wanting a board for hot landings, flat water and surf-kickers, wake/free whatever your style. Hit me up for a ride if you see me at Melville...
Cheers to Kite Addiction for getting stock in so soon!
